overview

Milwaukee Mennonite was started in 2006 as a small group meeting in homes--read about our history here. We are a lay-led community, have no paid staff, and make decisions by consensus. Our members lead worship, preach sermons, arrange service projects, and bring food to those in need. We all work together to get the jobs done!

Team Structure

Each year during our gifts discernment time, members are asked about their interests for the upcoming year. Most members are a part of at least one team, typically for a 2 to 3 year term, including a Leadership Team with specific leadership responsibilities.

Commitment to all people

God's love is for all people. Milwaukee Mennonite Church welcomes all, without qualification, into full participation of church life, worship, and ministry, as we endeavor to walk closer to Jesus. Milwaukee Mennonite church belongs to the Supportive Communities Network and supports the Pink Menno Campaign. For more information on our church's process of discernment and consensus-building, see here.

We support the use of inclusive language in our worship times.
